Dehradun (Himachal Pradesh) [India], September 5 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed happiness over the single window system operated under the Ease of Doing Program in the state receiving the Top Achievers category award in the country.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, the state has been awarded this award for the initiative taken in this field for the years 2022-23.
These awards were presented by Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal, in the Udyog Samagam programme organised with the industry ministers of all the states at Yashobhoomi Convention Center, New Delhi, on Thursday. On behalf of the state, the award was received by Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal and Secretary Industry, Vinay Shankar Pandey, as the representative of the Chief Minister.
Under the Ease of Doing Program in the state, various problems faced by investors are identified. Favourable policies are prepared to identify the problems and resolve them. A portal has been prepared for the implementation of policies and to make all types of approvals available to investors through online mediums. All information related to enterprise establishment and industry-wise information on legal clearances/approvals is available on the portal. Under the Single Window Act, clearances related to industry establishment and operation are made available to investors within the prescribed time limit, the release added.
Uttarakhand has been the first state to integrate with the National Single Window System developed by the Government of India. This award has been given by the Government of India in view of the information available on the portal, the legal time limit prescribed under the Single Window Act, integration with other departments, integration with the National Single Window, online redressal of complaints, and dedicated helpline features, it added.
The Chief Minister has described this award as motivating entrepreneurs to invest in the state. He said that due to entrepreneur- and investment-friendly policies in the state, a large number of entrepreneurs have been attracted to invest in the state, it added. (ANI)
