Imphal (Manipur) [India], August 15 (ANI): After hoisting the national flag in Imphal on Thursday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren said that every Indian citizen should come together and contribute in every way possible to promote national unity.
While talking to reporters, Biren said, “India is great, Manipur is great. So, every citizen of India should get involved in every manner to unify India.”
Lauding the successful implementation of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ across the state Manipur CM said, “So, at many places all across the districts, we organised ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ under the guidance of PM Modi successfully…Today, I am very happy. Despite having some troubles, many people have come and taken part in marchpast.”
“I really appreciate the people of Manipur and extend them greetings on Independence Day,” he added.
Stating about the current scenario of the state, he said, “Peace lies on us. There will not be a specific roadmap because it is a conflict, not an accident. We are making every kind of effort. Peace has been restored in Jiribam. Similarly, we are trying to do this in district by district and trying to meet people in person.”
