New Delhi [India], June 10 (ANI): Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif represented the holy shrine at the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his historic third term in New Delhi on Sunday.
The ceremony, marked by its grandeur and sanctity, took place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath to PM Modi as well as several other members of his cabinet.
The event witnessed the presence of seven heads of state from neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Maldives, as part of India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy.
The gathering was a remarkable confluence of prominent personalities including Chief Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud, senior spiritual and faith leaders, Chief Ministers of various Indian states, and senior political leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Nitish Kumar, and Chandrababu Naidu.
Also in attendance were businessmen Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Lakshmi Mittal, ambassadors from different countries, and Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Rajnikanth Garu, among other national and international dignitaries.
“Haji Syed Salman Chishty’s presence at this event was a testament to the enduring spiritual and cultural heritage of Ajmer Sharif, a beacon of love, peace, and unity. His attendance served as a reminder of the spiritual ethos that binds the fabric of India’s diverse nation,” the release added.
Reflecting on the occasion, Haji Syed Salman Chishty, the Chairman of the Chishty Foundation remarked, “It is a profound honour to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s oath-taking ceremony, an event that symbolizes not just political continuity but the collective aspirations and spiritual unity of our great nation. In the presence of such distinguished leaders and visionaries, we are reminded of the divine grace that guides our path. May this new term bring renewed hope, prosperity, and peace to all citizens of India.”
The ceremony underscored India’s commitment to democratic values and spiritual inclusiveness.
Haji Syed Salman Chishty’s representation of Ajmer Sharif highlighted the integral role of spiritual and cultural heritage in shaping the nation’s destiny, the release added. (ANI)
