Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 8 (ANI): Samajwadi Party MP Ruchi Vira took a veiled dig at the BJP, saying that the Moradabad city continues to face many issues including the dilapidated condition of roads despite being declared a Smart City 10 years ago.
Ruchi Vira who won the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat told ANI on Saturday, “I would like to thank (Samajwadi Party Chief) Akhilesh Yadav, the INDIA alliance and the people of Moradabad…I have always worked for the welfare and upliftment of women”.
On what issues she will be raising as an MP inside the Parliament, Vira said, “Despite Moradabad being declared a smart city by the BJP ten years ago, there are still many issues. The entire city is in a mess, roads are in dilapidated condition, railway crossings have not been properly made as half of the population is living across the line, there is no flyover, there are frequent traffic jams and medical facilities, we will raise them”.
On SP’s PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, and Alpasankhyak) slogan in the Lok Sabha elections and its impact, Vira said, ” You have seen its results. (The people of) Uttar Pradesh delivered 37 seats to the SP”.
