New Delhi [India], April 30 (ANI): BJP MP Iranna B Kadadi on Wednesday hit out at the statements of various Congress leaders regarding the Pahalgam attack and stated that most of the Congress leaders had been “mentally disturbed” because they had nothing left to say after the excellent work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to ANI, Kadadi said “Most of the Congress leaders have been disturbed mentally because they have nothing left to say since our PM Narendra Modi has been doing excellent work… For the nation’s unity, we must rise above our party agenda to make statements…”
He further lashed out at Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah over his statement to secure minority votes further stating that he was the reason why the Congress High Command had banned leaders from making comments.
“Siddaramaiah made his statement to secure minority votes. He took his statement back only after facing apprehension from the public. This is why the Congress High Command has banned all the leaders from making such comments… The country is in distress. In such a crisis, it is necessary to support the ruling party…” he further stated.
Kadadi further stated that not every matter should be politicised, and said that Siddaramiah’s statement had become popular in Pakistan and had been said only for the vote bank politics.
“Not every matter should be politicised… Siddaramaiah’s statement became popular in Pakistan, too… Such statements are being made only for vote bank politics…” he further added.
Earlier on April 28, BJP leader Nishikant Dubey had also slammed Siddaramiah over his purported “no need of war” remark in the wake of the Pahalgam attack and said that people should find out whether Karnataka CM is a “patriot or a traitor.”
“Whether Siddaramaiah is a patriot or a traitor, people should find it out…I do not need to ask anything from Rahul Gandhi, I have faith in my Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defence Minister,” Dubey told ANI.
Siddaramaiah on Sunday clarified that he did not mean a complete no to war and that it should take place if inevitable.
He also said that the government should have provided proper security to tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.
Twenty six people were killed in terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam earlier this month. India has taken slew of measures against Pakistan for its support to cross-border terrorism. (ANI)
