New Delhi [India], March 20 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday to discuss various state issues, including rural development and housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
After the meeting, Union Minister Chouhan emphasized that out of the 24 lakh houses targeted for Rajasthan under the PMAY, work on 20 lakh houses has been completed, while the rest are in progress.
“A very important meeting has taken place. We had set a target of 24 lakh houses for Rajasthan under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, out of which work on 20 lakh houses has been completed. Work on the rest is in progress. Survey work is also going on for the remaining houses,” Chouhan said.
The Union Minister also posted on X about the meeting and emphasized that the Centre will “leave no stone unturned” in Rajasthan’s development. “Today I had a cordial meeting with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal ji, at Krishi Bhavan in New Delhi and had a meaningful discussion on various topics of rural development,” he wrote.
“I am extremely happy that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the schemes of the Rural Development Ministry are being implemented ideally in Rajasthan. Rajasthan should keep progressing, and the lives of villagers should be happy and prosperous; for this, the Central Government under the leadership of the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi
ji will leave no stone unturned,” he added.
Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the Centre and State government are working for the people.
“We discussed the progress reports of various schemes. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured me that he will continue to support Rajasthan’s development. The BJP governments at the Centre and the state are working for the people of the country,” CM Sharma said.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday stated that the state government would benefit the farmers and deprived sections of the state with various schemes in the mega program that would be organized in the state on the occasion of Rajasthan Day, which is to be held on March 30.
The CM further stated that the state government is implementing important schemes through good governance to realise the vision of ‘Apno Agrani Rajasthan’.
Sharma said that the farmers of the state are benefiting from the schemes of the Central and State governments.
As part of the programs being organised on Rajasthan Day, a three-day fair and exhibition of farmer-producer organisations will be held from March 28 to 30 to further empower the farmers of the state.
The event will strengthen market linkages, brand building, sales promotion and capacity development for Farmer Produce Organisation (FPO) and also provide a market for FPOs to showcase and sell their products. Also, grants will be transferred under various schemes related to farmer welfare. (ANI)
