Patna (Bihar) [India], March 7 (ANI): Spiritual leader and founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar reached Bihar on a five-day visit to the state and said no one can say that Bihar is underdeveloped.
Speaking to reporters outside the Patna airport on Thursday, he expressed his happiness of coming to the state.
“I am very happy to be here after so many years… I am eager to meet everyone. I will remain in Bihar for the next 5 days. I will visit multiple places, including Gaya… I am very happy to be here and it feels like I have returned home,” he said.
He also met state’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, where he discussed the issue of ‘Yuva Kaushal Vikas,’ in an effort to provide skilling opportunities to young people.
“We want to raise the issue of Yuva Kaushal Vikas and provide skills to the youth. The youth of Bihar is very strong, and they can adjust anywhere… Bihar is moving forward. Now, no one can say that Bihar is underdeveloped,” the spiritual leader told reporters.
The spiritual leader was given a warm welcome Art of Living volunteers and devotees at Bihar’s Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport.
Earlier on Thursday, the spiritual leader reached Maurya Hotel, where he plans to stay for two days.
According to the itinerary of the Art of Living founder, he will be addressing a Mahasatsang in the Gandhi Maidan of Patna today.
The organisation has also invited people to attend the Mahasatsang, according to a statement of Art of Living.
“The Art of Living family appeals to all the people of Patna to come in large numbers to the Mahasatsang to be held at Gandhi Maidan, Patna tomorrow and witness a new record being created in Bihar in the presence of Gurudev,” the statement read. (ANI)
