New Delhi [India], June 1 (ANI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP TR Baalu, who had come to Delhi to attend the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi, spoke about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s absence from the meeting, and said he was a bit “indisposed” and did not come because of the high temperature.
When asked about CM MK Stalin’s absence from the meeting Baalu said, “he got a common cold and was a bit indisposed so we don’t want him to come to Delhi as the temperature is very high here.”
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with other opposition leaders, posed for photographs following the meeting on Saturday.
The Congress president said that they want to take the “truth” to the people against BJP’s narrative. “Government surveys also happen; they (BJP) have many ways to create surveys and media also highlights their chunks,” Kharge said.
“We have decided to participate in exit poll debates. We want to tell the truth to people, against the narrative they (BJP) are trying to present.”
This comes a day after the Congress party announced its non-participation in the exit poll debates, terming them “speculation and slugfest for TRP.”
On being asked about the unity in the alliance, Kharge said, “We are united,” and no one should try to divide them. “We are united, and we will remain united. Don’t try to divide us,” he said. When a media person asked about the unity in the bloc, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also intervened and said, “Shubh Shubh bolo”. (ANI)
