Bathinda (Punjab) [India], June 1 (ANI): Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Bathinda Range, SPS Parmar on Saturday commended the comprehensive security measures that were put in place to ensure a peaceful electoral process in Bathinda.
According to Parmar, there have been no reports of violence in the Bathinda constituency, thanks to the meticulous planning and execution of security protocols.
“The arrangements of police forces in Bathinda constituency have been thorough and effective. There have been no incidents of violence reported as voting continues smoothly,” ADGP Parmar told ANI.
Highlighting the collaborative efforts of the paramilitary forces and the Punjab Police, Parmar detailed how these forces have jointly monitored and patrolled the entire constituency. “The paramilitary forces and Punjab Police, in a joint venture, have thoroughly monitored and patrolled the constituency to maintain law and order,” he said.
In an unprecedented move to bolster security, police have deployed advanced technology, including CCTV cameras, drones, and real-time monitoring through smartphones using 4G and 5G networks. This initiative is spearheaded by SSP Bathinda, who has introduced portable CCTV and Wi-Fi cameras powered by solar energy.
“SSP Bathinda Deepak Parikh has taken a new initiative to operate portable CCTV and Wi-Fi cameras. These cameras, equipped with solar power and fixed installations, come with a foldable stand, storage capacity for more than 10 days of recordings, 4G connectivity, and remote operation capabilities,” Parmar said.
