Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 31 (ANI): Amid the persistent intense heatwave situation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday issued necessary guidelines for administration in the state.
For the last few days, the outbreak of severe heat waves has been seen in the state. The temperature is rising. In such a situation, strong arrangements should be made at every level for the safety of common people and livestock, wildlife, the Chief Minister instructed.
Daily bulletin of weather forecast should be issued from the level of Relief Commissioner Office. The season of intense heat/heat waves is going on. In such a situation, be it a village or city, there should not be unnecessary power cuts anywhere. If needed, make arrangements to buy additional electricity. Problems like burning of transformer/falling of wire, tripping should be resolved without delay. Officers should attend to the phone, and there should not be any dispute, if such happens then the senior officer should immediately reach the spot himself, the CM instructed.
Drinking water should be kept in public places in all municipal bodies/rural areas. There should be an arrangement of drinking water at various places in the market/main roads. The cooperation of social/religious organizations should also be taken in this work. Water should be sprinkled regularly on the roads. Supply should be ensured through tankers in the areas most affected by water shortage. There should not be a shortage of drinking water anywhere.
The CM instructed, there is a need to pay special attention to cleanliness. Special attention should be paid to all religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura etc. Given Bada Mangal, ensure that cleanliness, traffic and other arrangements are smooth in Lucknow. It is also necessary to take care of the safety of livestock and wildlife amid the scorching heat. Heat-wave action plans should be effectively implemented in all zoological parks/sanctuaries.
There should be strong arrangements to keep livestock safe in case of heat waves. There should be proper arrangement of green fodder, bran and water for livestock in cow shelters. Continue the process of vaccination of animals before the rains. The general public should be made aware of the symptoms of heat waves and their prevention. Provide immediate medical facilities to everyone in case of illness. People affected by heat waves should be treated immediately in hospitals/medical colleges, he instructed.
Supply of drinking water in cities should be done as per the prescribed roster, all hand pumps should be kept functional, and rural pipe drinking water schemes should be operated smoothly. Running a drinking water stall at public places is a noble deed, water and shade should be arranged at public places for cattle, dogs etc. Make the general public aware to keep water and grains in small pots for birds, the CM added.
