Black Friday is a day of discount deals and its popularity among both stores and shoppers shows no signs of abating. More retailers took part than ever last year, which also saw increasing numbers of customers splashing the cash.
When is Black Friday 2018?
Black Friday is an annual shopping extravaganza.
The tradition started in the US, where it takes place on the first Friday after Thanksgiving.
It sees retailers reveal heavy discounts on goods in the run-up to Christmas. Black Friday 2018 falls on November 23, but some shops appear to already be offering discounts.
Black Friday is not be confused with Cyber Monday, which is an online-only sale that falls on the following Monday, November 26.

The UK’s Black Friday 2017 spending was up 11.7 percent – from £1.39bn in 2016, despite a drop in in-store shopping.
Experts believe Black Friday 2018 will exceed these numbers.
Much of this expected growth is predicted to come from online Leviathan Amazon.
Amazon was reportedly responsible for around 50 percent of all online sales in 2017.
Amazon Black Friday 2018:
Amazon’s Black Friday 2018 sale runs from November 16 to November 25 and thousands of products are set to have their prices cut.
Amazon will offer Deals of the Day throughout the period, which will see discounts on “must-have electronics, toys and fashion to sports, beauty, home items and more”.
And Amazon will also feature Lightning Deals, which are products discounted for only a short period.

Amazon has promised new offers will emerge “as often as every five minutes”, rewarding those who constantly check-in to the site.
Amazon has introduced a new AR View feature, allowing shoppers to view products in un-parrelled detail.
AR View is available in the Amazon app and will allow customers to place selected products in their home via the power of augmented reality.
Amazon Prime members will receive a number of exclusive benefits during the Black Friday.
Amazon Prime subscribers will receive exclusive 30-minute early access to all Lightning Deals.
And Prime members will be able to take advantage of the try before you buy” Prime Wardrobe service.
Prime Wardrobe allow shoppers to have items delivered for no extra cost, and customers will only pay for what they want to keep.
Amazon will also host a number of a Home of Black Friday pop up experiences to showcase the very best of Black Friday.
