Spice Girls recently announced they were back together and going on a UK tour, however it has recently been revealed, bandmate Victoria Beckham, aka ‘Posh Spice’ wasn’t invited to the reunion.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show which airs tomorrow night, Mel C, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B explained why Victoria won’t be joining them, and it wasn’t because she turned down the chance.
“Do you know what is actually quite funny,” Mel C began. “I saw Victoria recently and obviously we’ve all been in contact, she is still very much a part of the Spice Girls, she really supports us and we really support her.
“But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked.”
“Oh, was she not?” Emma interjected whilst Mel B just fell about laughing.
“No, because we just presumed,” Mel C continued.
“No, she was,” Mel B argued as Geri added: “I spoke to her two days ago, right before the announcement.
“And she just said, ‘look you know’ she just said it for years that she just doesn’t want to do it anymore.”
Host Jonathan replied: “But having said that, I still think you should have offered her the opportunity…”
Emma then raised her voice and said: “No hold on, we did. Remember the day at your house? We did.”

“She just didn’t want to do it. She was busy with her fashion and she has moved on,” Geri said.
“The philosophy of us lot is that we are a band, on and off the stage and we care each other, we support each other and we support her and she has been a huge part of our lives and we care about her so it’s all good.”
Emma remarked: “We realised that a while back that she didn’t enjoy that [touring] so much.”
Regardless, Geri assured “the door is always open” should Victoria change her mind.
