Snag the sci-fi horror adventure SOMA while it’s totally free on PC – Destructoid

You have two days

As part of the ongoing GOG Winter Sale, the digital storefront has begun handing out SOMA for free.

Not only is the game a spooky good time with nightmare creatures and a pinch of underwater dread, but it also has an impactful story about what it is to be human. You really ought to play SOMA. If you’re less into scares and would prefer absorbing the narrative in a low-stakes environment, Frictional Games has a Safe Mode in which roaming monsters won’t harm you. They’re still pretty creepy, though.

Also, if you played some of Frictional’s earlier stuff like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and it didn’t quite click, don’t let that deter you. They’re different types of experiences (and SOMA is on another level.)

You have until December 30 at 3:00am Pacific to claim your free copy of SOMA.
