on Wednesday wrote a letter to
expressing dismay over the change of his seat in the Upper House.
“Astonished to know that my seating position in RS chamber is changed from 3rd to 5th row,” Sanjay Raut said in the letter adding that “the decision has been taken by someone deliberately to hurt Shiv Sena’s sentiments and suppress our voice.”
“I also fail to understand reason for this unwarranted step since there is no formal announcement about the removal from NDA. This decision has affected dignity of the House.I request you to allot us 1/2/3 row seat and uphold House decorum,” he said in the letter.
The Shiv Sena has snapped ties with the BJP after the two allies failed to reach an agreement over power sharing in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena’s lone minister in the Union Cabinet also stepped down as the party approached the Congress and the NCP to form an alternative government in the state. However, there has been no formal announcement of exit from either side.
