MUMBAI: A woman was stabbed to death
on Tuesday Kumar Bhoir (32), the accused, has surrendered. He told cops he had suspected Veena (37) his wife of 12 years, of having a affair. Sources known as the couple
Veena had left home on January 2 after which Kumar filed a missing person’s complaint. When police summoned Veena, she asked him to leave home. Cops said Kumar went to the CA firm where Veena worked on Tuesday. The two got into a heated argument that eventually led to Kumar stabbing her. “He fled the scene and later, surrendered to the police. The knife has been recovered,” a police officer said.
On Tuesday, Kumar waited outside the chartered accountancy firm’s office near Bhayander station where Veena was working for eight years. At 10.30am, as she opened the office and entered, and Kumar, who works as a salesman, followed her. Police said Kumar asked Veena to return home and she refused. “The couple got in an argument and Kumar reportedly slapped Veena as she told him to leave. Then he stabbed her and spot from the spot, after which the police themselves surrendering,” the officer added.
