She’s all about that bass.
Meghan Trainor wed “Spy Kids” actor Daryl Sabara on Saturday, which also happened to be the singer’s birthday. “I’m a wifey for lifey!” she captioned a photo of the two against a huge wall made of white roses.
The bride, 25, wore a custom Berta gown with a handmade veil and cape covered in hundreds of hand-sewn appliqués, crystals and beads. Though the “Dear Future Husband” singer had “a few modification requests” to make an existing dress “a bit more modest,” she also wanted to show off her famous figure according to the designer, Berta Balilti, per People.
“I told [stylist Hayley Atkin,] ‘Hey, I want sparkly and I want it to show my curves,’” Trainor told People. She added that she’s “been working hard on my body” and wanted to show it off. The off-the-shoulder gown wasn’t exactly what Trainor thought she wanted, but the singer said that she knew right away it was the perfect fit.
“I didn’t look like a glam pop star — I just looked like a really beautiful woman that I’ve always wanted to look like since I was my uncomfortable 13-year-old self, and I was just like reaching out to her like, ‘We did it!’” she said.
Though the dress is from the latest collection that has not hit stores yet, similar styles from the designer retail in the range of $8,000 to $11,000.
For the reception, Trainor slipped into something a little more comfortable. She wore a sexy sheer lace suit off the runway from Canadian fashion designer Rita Vinieris.
