Meghan opted for a quiet day at her home in Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, to celebrate turning 38 on August 4. The extravagant cake was supplied by Luminary Baker in north London. The bakery was praised by the Duchess in a recent guest-edited issue of Vogue.
It is known for creating intricately designed cakes the are considered to resemble works of art rather than tasty treats.
The Stoke Newington-based supplier not only serves up gourmet baked goods but is on mission to empower some of London’s most vulnerable woman.
Meghan previously wrote to the bakery thanking them for the work they do to support disadvantaged women back on their feet, offering them employment opportunities and teaching them invaluable culinary skills.
The bakery also caters for weddings and parties as well as having a luxurious on-site cafe.
