Despite being one of the most recognisable people in the world, Meghan Markle has tried to keep certain parts of her life private, especially when it comes to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Writing in The Daily Telegraph, Sally Jones, 64, revealed that the one of Meghan’s security personnel had asked the media consultant to not take any pictures of Meghan at Wimbledon as the Duchess was at the event “in a private capacity”. TV host Carole Malone criticised the Duchess for the reported action, referring to her as “Princess Privacy”.
Speaking on Sky News’ The Pledge, Ms Malone said: “Princess Privacy has been at it again, reportedly asking bodyguards to stop spectators at Wimbledon from taking photos of her.
“As she sat with 12,000 people watching a match broadcast to millions of people.
“And just to demonstrate her desire to keep a low profile after keeping secret details of Archie’s christening and his godparents names, Meghan is now reportedly in talks to write a monthly column in Vogue.
“Oh my god, the hypocrisy, the arrogance, the control freaky. Sorry but Meghan isn’t entitled to demand special treatment. And people are fed up of her and Harry with their litany of imaginary grievances.

“Behaving like two of life’s victims, rather than the luckiest people alive. Fact: As Duchess of Sussex she can’t ever be private.
“She’s not a celebrity, she’s a royal, and there are duties and responsibilities that go with that.”
Meghan, however, has been supported with one royal source telling The Daily Telegraph it was not unusual for members of the Royal Family to attend events in a private manner.
The source said: “It’s not uncommon for personal protection officers accompanying any members of the Royal Family to ask people not to take pictures so they can engage with people and events rather than camera phones.”

Away from Wimbledon, Meghan was spotted watching Harry play polo at the Billingbear Polo Club in Wokingham Surrey.
The outing comes just days after Archie was christened last weekend at Windsor Castle in a private event.
Meanwhile, the Duchess is believed to be planning to guest edit Vogue’s September issue, but royal commentators have now claimed the Duchess has been offered a monthly column to discuss her charitable pursuits.

The Duchess would not be the first member of the Royal Family to collaborate with Vogue as her sister-in-law Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, starred on the cover for the magazine’s centenary edition in 2016.
A source told the Mail Online: “The spread in Vogue won’t be a superficial photoshoot – on the contrary, she wants to use it as a platform to make a difference.
“She is working with Vogue as a contributing editor on a few fabulous stories about the causes that are near and dear to her and it may eventually become a regular column.
“Anna Wintour is also part of the talks and is in discussion about running some or all of the stories in US Vogue.”
The Meghan Markle photo shoot and first feature are understood to be planned for the September issues of the UK and USA editions of Vogue.
A source told the Express that the Duchess had been offered the cover but declined, so she would not take attention away from the causes she wants to feature.
