Love Island fans were left overjoyed yesterday as the ITV2 show returned to TV with a sprinkle of festive cheer.
All the stars swapped swimsuits for cosy coats and a pool for a log fire as they reunited for Christmas.
Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer joined the cast for the reunion, which was filmed just before their shocking split earlier this month.
However Dani’s dad, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, later confirmed on the Jonathan Ross Show that they hadn’t split for good and that it had just been a spat. Considering that the couple had been set for a NTA hosting job, which would have been very awkward had they broken up, it was very convenient.
And during the reunion, which aired last night, viewers were left raising eyebrows at the couple and noticed hints that they might not be as ‘real’ a couple as they appeared to be.
Firstly, viewers pointed out that the couple still appeared to kiss like they were just friends, with one tweeting that they “still kiss like 10 year olds”.
Of course, the couple could just be shy about PDA in front of the camera, but the biggest hint is how divided they are over Georgia.
While Jack was firmly in Sam’s corner over the cheating allegations, Dani was in Georgia’s as she insisted that her friend “wouldn’t lie to her” about not cheating.

Some fans took to Twitter to hit out at the ‘fake’ couple, with one commenting: “Wait and see, I bet once @Dani_MasDyer & @jack_charlesf have been paid for this #LoveIsland Christmas Reunion, they won’t be together. #Bores #Fakes.”
Meanwhile others took delight in Ian Stirling’s hilariously shady commentary as he made digs at their break-up.
One tweeted: “The shade on Jack and Dani’s relationship#loveislandchristmasreunion.”
