* Phase seven to be held on May 19

* Phase six to be held on May 12

* Phase five to be held on May 6

* Phase four to be held on April 29

* Phase three to be held on April 23

* Phase two of elections to be held on April 18

* First phase of polling to be held on April 11

* Polls to be held in 7 phases

* Total electorate in this Lok Sabha elections will be 90 crore

* There will be approximately 10 lakh polling stations in this Lok Sabha Elections as compared to 9 lakh polling stations in 2014.

* 17.4 lakh VVPATs to be used

* The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) comes in effect from today itself in the whole country. Any violation will occur in the strictest manner

* 1950 is the voter’s helpline number

* In order to curb noise pollution, use of loud speakers is prohibited between 10 pm-6am.

* Candidates will be required to submit their social media accounts

* All critical events will be videographed and VVPATs will be used on EVMs at all polling stations.
