IAF strikes: China ditches Pakistan, advocates peace – Times of India

, China on Tuesday sent out a clear signal that it will try to restrain New Delhi and Islamabad from aggravating the conflict instead of standing by its ally, Pakistan.

Chinese foreign ministry said that the sound and peaceful relationship between India and Pakistan is necessary to maintain peace and stability in the region.

“We hope the two countries will serve the purpose of maintaining peace and stability in the region,” the ministry said in response to a question.

Beijing is looking forward to making sure that the upcoming meeting of Russia, India and China (RIC), which will be attended by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and foreign ministers
