Game of Thrones season eight, episode one titled Winterfell saw Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) arrive in the North alongside Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and she didn’t receive the warmest welcome from Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).
It seemed as though the pair may strike up a friendship in episode two but those hopes were dashed when Sansa quizzed the Mother of Dragons about her plans for the North when she became Queen of Westeros.
Daenerys seems intent on ruling all of the Seven Kingdoms, despite Sansa pointing out the North had their land stolen before and have reclaimed it.
Sansa is wary of Daenerys and her plans for Westeros and will no doubt confide in her sister Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) about her fears for the North and also their brother Jon.
Episode three will see the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) and his army of the dead attack Winterfell as Sansa hides in the crypts in a bid to stay safe.
But judging from the trailer for Game of Thrones season eight, it doesn’t like that will happen.
Arya can be seen running through the crypts with a worried look on her face and she seems keen to warn those hiding down there of an imminent danger.
Sansa may find herself in the middle of the action alongside her sister as the army of the dead attacks the crypts.
In a devastating twist, Sansa could be killed and die in Arya’s arms with her last words a plea to the youngster to look out for their brother Jon and stop Daenerys from becoming Queen at any cost.
Earlier this season, Arya told Jon that Sansa is the “smartest person I know” and it seems unlikely she would question her sister.

Distraught over Sansa’s death and focussing on her final words, could Arya take matters into her own hands and kill the Khaleesi to protect the North?
Furthermore, Arya and Sansa are yet to learn Jon is in fact Aegon Targaryen – something Daenerys wasn’t to happy to find out in episode two.
If the truth is revealed, the sisters will no doubt declare Jon as their King and turn on Daenerys.
The Mother of Dragons doesn’t seem keen on bending the knee to another ruler so it’s likely she could threaten the trio or even try to have Jon eliminated so she has no competition for the Iron Throne.
If the Stark sister learn this information before the Battle of Winterfell it could make Arya even more determined to avenge Sansa and protect Jon.

However, another theory which has emerged from the first-look images for episode three suggest it could be Arya who dies.
In one snap, Sansa can be seen with a tear in her eye – could it be she has learned her youngster sister has died in battle?
The photo has also caught fans’ attention as a face appears to be visible in the background.
Many believe the face belongs to Sansa’s mother Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), who was brutally murdered at the Red Wedding.
Could she be about to return at one of the most pivotal moments of the series?
Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the USA and the following day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
