Collette Divitto loves to bake.
After graduating from college, she had trouble finding a job. Over and over again, employers told her the same thing.
“At this time, we feel you are not a good fit,” she said.
Divitto, who has Down syndrome, decided to open her own bakery, called Collettey’s Cookies.
She now employs 13 workers, many who are differently abled, and ships baked goods all around the country.
She’s also established a nonprofit to help others tap into their entrepreneurial abilities.
